State Department’s F35s to Turkey Response
The attached response from the State Department to the bi-partisan letter signed by 40 members of Congress, commits to complying with US Law forbidding the sale of F35s to Turkey.
We take exception to the statement that “Turkey is a long-standing NATO ally with a history of making important contributions.” The facts are very clear from the invasion and continued occupation of 37% of the Republic of Cyprus, to Turkey’s actions in Syria, Armenia and Libya and not only acquiring S400 missals, but also the continuous actions against Israel, its cooperation with Isis and Hamas, makes Turkey a liability.
We urge the Trump Administration to put pressure on Turkey to behave like a long-standing ally and not an enemy of the United States.
