Turkish Cypriot Journalist Sener Levent on trial for treason by Turkey for daring to call on Turkey to remove its 40,000 occupation troops from Northern Cyprus.
Since the illegal tragic invasion of July 20, 1974, the Republic of Cyprus has been divided and 37% of its northern territory is under occupation by 40,000 Turkish troops. Since 1974, Turkey has imported more than 400,000 settlers from Turkey, performed ethnic cleansing by forcibly removing 200,000 Greek Cypriots from their ancestral homes, destroyed 500 Christian churches and established the first Muslim Fundamentalist state in Europe called “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” (TRNC) recognized only by Turkey!
Turkish Cypriots live in fear in the north and Greek Cypriots live as refugees in their own homeland. The Republic of Cyprus, a strategic partner of America, a member of the European Union and the United Nations, needs our support.
