Trump Appeasement of Turkey Spells Disaster!
Turkey has proven that it’s an unreliable ally and not a dependable partner of America and not a loyal member of NATO. Turkey must end the illegal occupation of 38% of the Republic of Cyprus, a member of the European Union and a strong strategic partner of America.
- Turkey is currently in violation of US and International laws including CAATSA.
- Turkey has been supporting terrorism including Hamas, Hezbollah and Isis.
- Turkey illegally occupies Northern Syria and Northern Iraq.
- Turkey undermines the United States foreign policy in Iran.
- Turkey undermines NATO and continues to hold the Russian S400 missiles.
- Turkey is oppressing minorities including the Kurds, Christians and Jews.
- Turkey violates UCLOS, the international laws of the seas with illegal maritime claims.
- Turkey has an active “Casus Belli” against our critical ally, Greece.
- Turkey has been preventing energy exploration and development by our strategic allies, Cyprus, Greece and Israel.
Selling advanced military technology to Turkey rewards territorial aggression, minorities oppression, anti-Israel rhetoric and continued violation of US and International laws. Appeasement did not work with Germany; it will not work with Turkey. Time to hold Turkey accountable and demand respect for International laws.
