State Department’s response to letters spearheaded by Congressman Chris Pappas and Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis on the sale of the F16 fighter planes to Turkey.

The International Coordinating Committee “Justice for Cyprus” (PSEKA) continues its efforts with all Hellenic organizations to stop the sale of the F16 fighter planes to Turkey.

Attached is the State Department’s response to letters spearheaded by Congressman Chris Pappas and Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis.

Although the State Department respects the longstanding NATO ally, Turkey, it is committed to carrying out US export control laws.  We will continue to update you on this situation.
